Stories – Brought to Life, created by FRAMELESS, the leading creator of immersive experiences, and inspired by the National Portrait Gallery’s unique Collection, does just that.

You will hear the human stories behind some of the Gallery’s most iconic portraits. Each story will be told through a short vignette, projected over a multitude of screens allowing the narrative to weave around you.

By unframing and bringing to life what the original portrait captures, Stories will take you on an emotional multisensory journey.

From icons of history to contemporary trailblazers, it brings portraits to life like never before. Among the featured stories will be Elizabeth I, Grayson Perry, Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai, Emmeline Pankhurst and William Shakespeare, with many more to be revealed.
