While there is no strobe lighting in the gallery, but the experience includes moving images and changes in lighting that could affect some visitors.

Stories Brought to Life offers British Sign Language tours tailored for d/Deaf or hard-of-hearing visitors. These bespoke tours are led by a dedicated BSL guide and can be arranged for general admission times or during our quieter, Chilled Experiences with reduced public capacity. Sessions must be booked in advance.

To support communication, we also use SignLive tablets, and our staff are equipped with scribble pads and Makaton cards.

Tour tickets must be reserved ahead of time, and participants are eligible for a complimentary carer’s ticket, which should be booked at the same time. Our access team will also be available to guide and support visitors throughout the galleries, if required.

We are delighted to offer the SignLive interpretation service and our team based at the entrance have tablets to aid communication.
